Here for the audio?

So are we. Focused lessons. A clear sequence. Time to understand.

The difference is the structure

Give each idea
its own lesson.

An overview gives you the shape of a subject. When you want to understand the parts, a course gives each one its own space.

Start with a topic, a learning goal, or a PDF. Nemonic builds a path through it. Listen to one focused lesson, then move to the next with the context you just picked up.

You choose lesson lengths from 5 to 60 minutes. Quizzes and spaced review help you revisit what you’ve learned.

How the internet works

Networks, routers, and the anatomy of a URL

Read the sample transcript

Imagine the Internet as a giant postal system connecting billions of computers worldwide. At the local level, each computer is like a house connected to a neighborhood post office called a switch. This switch knows exactly which house to send a letter to by reading unique fingerprints called MAC addresses. But if the neighborhood grows too large, the post office can't remember every house. So, neighborhoods are grouped into cities connected by routers, which use street addresses called IP addresses to forward mail efficiently. When you want to visit a website, you type a URL—think of it as the full mailing address. It includes the postal service (like https), the city name (domain), the street and building (path), and sometimes apartment numbers or room numbers (parameters and anchors). This system ensures your browser finds the exact resource you want on the Web.

A note from the maker

A narrower focus.
An honest pitch.

“If the audio side is what brought you here, that’s the part I’m building for. We can’t do everything NotebookLM can do. What we do is break big topics into a path of audio lessons, so each core idea gets time to be explained.

It’s a paid app. I’d rather be upfront about that than hook you with ‘free’ and spring the cost on you later. We use open-source models when possible to keep costs as low as we can.”

Before you download

A few fair questions.

Is this a replacement for NotebookLM?

Nemonic focuses on structured audio learning. It doesn’t do everything NotebookLM does. If you’re here because you want a sequence of lessons that develops a topic over time, that’s the part to try.

Can I start with my own material?

Yes. Start with a topic or goal, or upload a PDF to build a course around your material. This page isn’t a NotebookLM integration or an automatic notebook importer.

Can I choose how long the lessons are?

Yes. Choose lessons from 5 to 60 minutes. Available audio formats include lecture, podcast, debate, council, and fable.

Does this guarantee perfect accuracy or coverage?

No. Nemonic uses AI, which can make mistakes. A sequence of focused lessons is a different way to learn; it isn’t a guarantee that every detail in a source will be included or correct.

Is there a free plan?

The app is free to download, and the sample on this page is free to hear. Creating your courses is paid: buy a single course path or choose a membership. You’ll see the available pricing in the app before purchasing.
